Isopropyl alcohol is a colorless, combustible liquid known by a variety of names. For instance, in the laboratory it may be labeled isopropanol, isopro, iso, isopropyl or simply by the acronym IPA.
Chemtools KleaniumTM ISO-Kleen Isopropanol is a commonly used solvent. It does not contain CFCs or chlorinated solvents such as trichloroethylene.
The Isopropanol will quickly clean a variety of soils, such as some flux residues, light oils, polar, organic and ionic residues. It is an effective and economical solvent.
Isopropanol is flammable and should not be sprayed onto live electrical equipment or other sources of possible ignition.
It is suitable for use on magnetic tape heads, optical and precision instructiveness and printed circuit boards.
